One of the upsides of becoming involved in O-M’s programme project was that I met many great people along the way. O-M introduced me to Stuart Eyre from the East Midlands who had helped him from his early days collecting the 92 clubs’ programmes over the 50 years.

Stuart and I traded and he told me this week that he has started a new Facebook Community for football memorabilia collectors. Nothing new so far but Stuart has added a nice turn on it and programmes are NOT for sale but rather for exchange. He explains it, ” This group has been created to assist collectors of football programmes to obtain their ‘missing’ programme or programmes without having to pay out.

Just like many of us did as kids in days gone by with football stickers, this group will enable collectors to exchange their football programmes. Connections with like-minded collectors can be made via this page.

Whether collectors have duplication they want to ‘breakdown’, two of the same programme that they’re happy to exchange one of them or after a particular programme and feel that they can ‘entice’ a fellow collector that has that ‘wanted’ programme to exchange.

The rules are simple:-

No sales allowed, only exchanges

The admin take no responsibility for any transactions other than the transactions participated in

Be kind, honest and courteous to each other.”
