Day 109

Ecademy Cricket Match

What a great day!

1) I got a sponsor for today and tomorrow from Dining Club 500 AND a Ukraine national shirt and

2) The day of the Ecademy cricket match has finally arrived. It was a pleasure to meet Thomas and Penny Power again together with Milton and Baju who had worked so hard to organise the day. It was also a great pleasure to meet the Powers’ two sons as well as a good number of Ecademists and their friends. A great day was had by all. I had not played cricket in 35 years …..and it showed. My bowling was appalling and my batting worse but that did not stop me having a great day. Yes, in between a miserable spell of bowling and some woeful batting where I managed a paltry one run, I got the important wicket of Milton Rodrigues who was superby caught by Thomas Power just as it looked as if he had played himself in.

So, a real fun day which I am sure everybody enjoyed and an early finish meant I could get some quality to time on the net to update everything.

Huge thanks to Milton and Baju for organising the day and I hear that next year’s match is already being planned. Guys, you are welcome to invite me to make up the numbers! Thanks also to Penny for acting as score-keeper and Kevin Wright for umpiring. Two thankless tasks …. so thanks again!
