“I wandered lonely as a cloud,” well it felt a bit like that as I was well and truly lost on Google Maps as I searched in vain to find my bank in Middlesbrough town centre. Those with more patience would probably have looked more carefully at the screen and seen that the quickest way involved walking THROUGH an entire shopping centre. So, there I was walking through the Dundas Centre when I saw a thing of beauty, ASB Football Shirts Yes, there among the charity shops, and the discount home furnishing stores was an image/ a mirage of pulchritude/ a genuine football shirt shop!

Wanting not to appear ungrateful for the improvement in my day, nor abuse the bank manager further (too aggressively), I walked into this Aladdin’s Cave. Yes, I know he was probably on the planet before the Founding 12 but this Aladdin was fronted by the ever affable Mark who kindly showed me the biggest Boro collection I have ever seen. “But there’s more”….yes, a huge selection of EFL, EPL, non-league and foreign club and internationals. HUGELY impressive.

Mark told me that his biggest focus currently is increasing ever further his stock levels as he has a ready trade for all quality shirts (as opposed to the skanky knock-offs from the vape shops or weekly markets!)
