Lanzarote Information

Mike and Julie at were kind enough to add this update to their newsletter this week. Most kind! is the biggest and best website about the island in English and is something of a model site for a town or city. It is comprehensive and easily navigated so if you want to know anything about the island, I’d suggest you drop in.

“Steve Hall has been a friend of this website for many years – he runs and he’s spending some time on the island over the next few months.

Steve is a keen cyclist and has an epic trip planned riding across Norway later this year. But while he’s here, he’s decided to take a few days to ride around the island, dropping in on local businesses, sharing his trip and pictures on social media, and doing it all to raise some money for the Kennel Klub.

Steve  Steve 2

The journey takes place on 25th to 27 April, and he will be starting and finishing at Sun Park in Playa Blanca. He’ll be calling into our offices in Costa Teguise and in Haria for some sustenance, as well as many other places.

Here’s what you can do to help:

Do you have a business on the island and would you like Steve to call in and say hello and share it all on social media?

Then pledge just €10 and he’ll do it! And he’ll even throw in a free advert on his website!

Would you like to sponsor him and give to the Kennel Klub?

Then just pledge as little as €1!

Every Euro raised will go direct to Kennel Klub.

How to sponsor

Sponsor forms will be available from The Bookswap PDC, The Cutting Room Tias, The Carvery PDC, Geppetto’s Tias, La Cabaña Macher, The British Cafe Costa Teguise and the car boot sale every Sunday.

You can also donate directly via Paypal using this email address

Also use if you want to contact Steve about business sponsorship or getting him to call at your business.

The  Kennel Klub relies on private donations, and this is what the money raised could mean to them:

  • 5€ pays for one dog to be safe in private kennels for 1 day
  • 10€ pays for a dog to be vaccinated against life threatening diseases.
  • 15€ pays for a dog to be microchipped, reducing the chance of it ever being abandoned/lost again
  • 50€ pays for a male dog to be castrated reducing the amount of unwanted litters

So go on, do something now – send them a Euro via Paypal. Or make it €10!”

Really appreciate your support Mike and Julie and look forward to meeting you as I tour the island
