Always good to catch up with Darren who works so hard to promote non-League football.
Sadly for him, this week he had a nightmare. His two teams, Harborough Town & AFC Rushden & Diamonds, were drawn against each other in the FA Trophy. The optimist says, “No lose.” The pessimist says, “No win.” With that in mind off he toddled and it sounds like it was a great event.

He says, ” This was a strange one for me to cover, and I absolutely wanted this match to end in a draw.

I also have to say, because I love these clubs, I wasn’t looking forward to it one bit, but the FA Trophy soccer gods drew out Harborough Town & AFC Rushden & Diamonds and I had to like it or lump it!

Donned with badges of both clubs at the match, I naturally took some good natured stick from people of both clubs…..quite right too!
